Programme des affaires indiennes et inuit (Canada). Bureau de district de Terrace : En 1959, l'Agence de Terrace a été établie. Elle avait compétence sur la bande de Kitamaat, auparavant sous l'autorité de l'Agence de Bella Coola et des bandes Gitlakdamix, Kitsumkalum, Lakalzap, Canyon City et Kitselas Bands auparavant sous l'autorité de l'Agence de Skeena River. Après l'établissement du ministère des Affaires indiennes et du Nord en 1966, des agences se sont regroupées pour former des unités administratives plus grandes appelées districts. L'Agence de Terrace est devenue le bureau de district de Terrace en décembre 1971. Ce bureau a été fusionné au district de Babine et au district de North Coast en 1976 pour former un plus grand district de Terrace. En 1977, le district de Gitksan Carrier a été divisé à partir du district de Terrace et en 1978, le district de Terrace est devenu le bureau de district du Nord-Ouest.
