Series consists of files maintained within the Program Division at Atlantic Development Board Headquarters in Ottawa. The series includes the files of two successive Directors of that Division: F.J. Doucet, 1965 to 1968, and C. Simcock, 1968-1969. Due to the senior positions held by these officers, first as economists and then as Director, their files document many of the activities of the Board from its inception until the Atlantic Development Board Act was repealed in 1969. The records include minutes, agenda and other documents related to board meetings (volumes 147 to 149); and subject files pertaining to various board projects and concerns within the Atlantic Provinces, such as coal, the fisheries, power development, water quality and the development at Come-By-Chance, Newfoundland (volumes 150 to 155).
