Sub-series consists of agents books created by the Supreme Court of Canada. Several rules in the General Orders volume refer to the election of agents; in particular, rule 16 states,

"There shall be kept at the office of the Registrar of this Court a book to be called
'The Agents' Book', in which all Advocates, Solicitors, Attornies [sic] and Proctors
practising in the said Supreme Court may enter the name of an agent (such agent
being himself, a person entitled to practice in the said Court) at the said City of
Ottawa, or elect a domicile at the said city."

Essentially, if an agent was established at Ottawa for a party, any necessary notices and documents could be sent to the agent or domicile rather than being posted at the Registrar's office. The books are roughly alphabetised registers that provide the date, name of principal or party, residence (home city and/or province), and agent or domicile in Ottawa.
