Sub-sub-series consists of fifteen registers used by the Lands Management Division and its predecessors to record information pertaining to the sale, lease and assignment of Crown lands in the Yukon and Northwest Territories. Several registers were originally introduced by the Department of the Interior while it exercised jurisdiction over northern lands. It should be noted that some of the registers contain unexpected information. For example one register entitled Register of Assignments, vol. 2281, includes assignments 5213 to 6759 which cover prairie lands during the period 1927 to 1930. They are located between sections of entries for the Yukon and NWT assignments.
