Canada. Royal Canadian Navy. Depot (Halifax, N.S.) : RCN Depot, Halifax was established on April 1, 1943 and, under the supervision of NSHQ, was responsible for the drafting of all men in the RCN. On October 1, 1944, RCN Depot, Halifax, having outgrown its facilities at HMCS Stadacona, was relocated and commissioned HMCS Peregrine.
