Canada. Dept. of National Defence. Defence Financial Advisor, Bonn : The office of the Defence Financial Advisor dates from the early days of NATO when an Associate Deputy Minister of National Defence (Overseas) was established in London to handle problems arising from the greatly increased activities of the armed forces serving in the United Kingdom and Europe. By the late 1970s the post of Defence Financial Advisor had been considerably reduced in stature, and had for a time been manned by legal rather than financial officers. In 1972 it migrated to Bonn from London. RG 24 General Inventory
