Sub-sub-series consists of a register showing the distribution of railway contracts, the number and date of the contract, the name of the contractor, a description of the work, the name of the railway, the date of completion, the amount of the contract and remarks. Some of the contracts described in this sub-sub-series are available in the legal documents sub-sub-series, RG43-D-I-8 (Vols. 2542, 2544-2761). The register is subdivided by type of work, for example, engine houses, platforms, telegraph offices and so on.
