Sub-sub-series consists of an index to the contracts, deeds and leases arranged in alphabetical order by subject from Lachine Canal to Williamsburg Canals, including railways, roads and other public works. The index provides the following information: date, number of document, names of persons involved, description of the transaction and reference to the appropriate book in the sub-sub-series where the transcribed document can be found. This index is similar to Vol. 2539 described in the general indexes sub-sub-series (MIKAN 134607, RG43-D-II-1).
