Canada. Dept. of Railways and Canals. Office of the Engineer, Williamsburg Canals : The engineer in charge, Williamsburg Canals was responsible for the administration, maintenance and operation of the three canals at Farran's Point, Rapide Plat and Galops which were known collectively as the Williamsburg Canals. The duties of the engineer included conducting surveys, overseeing repairs and new construction, enforcing Canal Regulations, and supervising canal employees. RG43 General Inventory
