Quebec Railway, Light and Power Company : The Quebec Railway, Light and Power Company was incorporated under Quebec Act, 44-45 Vic., Cap. 44 of 30 June 1881 under the name of the Quebec, Montmorency and Charlevoix Railway Company. Between 1889 and 1894 it constructed a 30.2 mile electric railway running east from Quebec to Cap Tourmente. It also acquired an interest in a tramway and an electric power company and on 10 July 1899 the name was changed to the Quebec Railway, Light and Power Company. It also had an interest in the Quebec and Saguenay Railway Company and the Lotbiniere and Megantic Railway. In 1947 the Canadian National Railway Company purchased the eastern 5 miles of line and, in 1951, the remaining track, railway property and franchises. RG30 General Inventory
