Sub-sub-series consists of working files and a draft report from the Bureau of Classification Revision. This working file retrieved from administrative records of the Public Service Staff Relations Board is composed of records created by the Public Service Commission. Of primary importance is the unpublished typescript report, "Provisional Description of Occupational Categories and Groups", 1965. This document serves as a summary of the provisional categories and groups in the new job classification developed in anticipation of major legislative changes embodied in the Public Service Employment Act and the Public Service Staff Relations Act. The file contains as well working copies of other draft documents related to the reclassification exercise of 1964-1967.

Canada. Bureau of Classification Revision : The Bureau of Classification Revision, like the Preparatory Committee on Collective Bargaining and the Bureau of Government Organization, was one of several transient entities often drawing on the personnel, mandate and functions of various departments and charged in the period immediately before 1967 with responsibility for preparing sweeping organizational changes implemented under various pieces of legislation, and developed out of the recommendations of the [Glassco] Royal Commission on Government Organization.
