Canada. Canadian Forces Base (Ottawa, Ont.) : CFB Ottawa was formed on 2 October 1972 from the amalgamation of CFB Rockcliffe and CFB Uplands (both renamed from RCAF Stations on 1 April 1966), and allocated to Air Transport Command. At its inception the integral units were 412 Transport Squadron, 3 Air Movements Unit and the Canadian Forces Airborne Sensing Unit. Following the disbandment of Air Transport Command on 2 September 1975, CFB Ottawa was transferred to Air Transport Group where it was to provide support services for all bases, units and elements allotted to it. On 1 April 1993 CFB Ottawa was redesignated as 7 Wing. In February 1994 CFB Ottawa was closed and its responsibilities transferred to the NDHQ Administrative Unit (renamed Canadian Forces Support Unit Ottawa). On 14 May 1995 CFB Ottawa and 7 Wing were disbanded. RG 24 General Inventory

Architectural drawings (Paper) RG24M 890459: Finding aid consists of one copy of an index prepared by the Dept. of National Defence. RG24M 912001: CFB Ottawa provided a copy of their card index, which is organized by drawing location indicator. They also provided a drawing location chart and a site number code.
