This is a preliminary record, please consult the linked accessions. Series consists of general operational records and central registry files created and/or maintained by the Coast Interior District Office and its predecessors. The series includes bound volumes of engineering infrastructures drawings for reserves within the jurisdiction of the Interior Coast District. The engineering "as built" drawings were for capital projects and show the underground servicing for the reserve, e.g., water, sewer systems, reservoirs. The drawings were prepared for the bands, originally by DIAND engineers and subsequently by engineering consultants, as a requirement of contributions. Each volume typically contains a drawing list, survey maps of the reserve, and "as found" and "as constructed" plans.

Coast Interior District Office (British Columbia) : Following the creation of the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development in 1966, agencies were joined to form larger administrative units called districts. The Coast Interior District was created in November 1992 as an amalgamation of the Central Vancouver and Northwest District offices. GARDD accession #1993-94/030
