In addition, the series includes records relating to Commission/Salary Warrants (reels T-9272 to T-9380; T-8985 to T-9071; T-12769 to T-12770); robbery offences against postal facilities in 1950 (reel T-12769); Savings Bank accounts (reel T-8984) and the production and distribution of War Savings Stamps during the Second World War (reels T-9381 to 9382); branch and divisional organizations, the Money Order and Postal Note systems, extensive philatelic related matters, such as, cachets, stamp designs, disposal of stamp issues, counterfeit stamps, First Day cover details, commemorative stamp issues, stamp supplies, souvenir cards and folders, air letter design, and the task force on Canadian stamp design. Also, there are files on such subjects as postage stamp vending machines, forgeries and irregularities involving postal money instruments, military post office service, Savings Banks, control of postage meters, background research on historic stamp issues, postage stamp manufacturing processes, procedures and productions, records of First Flights, numerous early contracts with bank note companies relating to stamp products, Christmas stamp issue files, franking and government postage, wartime activities of the Post Office Department, censorship, and several files relating to the establishment and administration of postal services in Newfoundland at the time of Confederation (Vols. 3792-3877).
