The item, which is in the Cree language (but written in Roman characters, not Cree syllabics), appears to be a Bible knowledge quiz, probably dated ca. 1850, and presumably prepared for use in the religious education of his Indian converts by the Reverend James Hunter, the Church Missionary Society missionary to the Cree Indians in Rupert's Land (first at the Cumberland Station then later at the Red River Settlement). The contents appear to be a series of questions and answers, numbered 25 to 83, on various Bible personages from Adam to Pontius Pilate.
