Item consists of an artistically arranged collage, [ca. 1870], of oil representations on paper pasted onto a watercolour floral ground and framed under glass. The caption on the back is: "St. Andrew's Church & Manse," to which is added the words, "to Maggie, with love, M.S." It was possibly made as a gift to Margaret Anderson Hunter, the youngest daughter of Archdeacon Hunter, and sent to her in England by a friend (M.S.) who knew that she would appreciate a picture of her birthplace and former home at the Red River Settlement (now Winnipeg, Manitoba).
