Sub-series consists of six files, most of which probably date from Hunter's years as a student at the Church Missionary Society's training college in Islington, 1840-1843. They comprise: three small notebooks containing questions and answers on articles 1-7 and 14-19 of the 39 Articles of Religion (vol. 4, file 75); notes on the Duty of Praise [for a sermon on Psalm 136:1] (vol. 4, file 76); and nine sermons consisting of four undated ones, probably from Hunter's student period, in addition to two from Acts dated 17 June and 6 July 1843; one on Psalm 46:10, probably given during Hunter's furlough in England in 1854-1855; and two more undated sermons, which may be of later date (vol. 4, files 77-80).
