General note:

Accession consists of maps showing the polls within the electoral districts in Canada in preparation for the 1984 General Election. They were prepared pursuant to the Electoral Boundaries Adjustment Order (Chapter E-2 RSC 1970 Census), the 1976 Representation Order, and the 1971 Decennial Census.
The maps were assigned a number from 1001 to 14005 and are arranged by electoral districts within the provinces and territories.
The maps are reproducible copies of master copies stored by Elections Canada in OFRC accession 93-101. The master copy found on the Electoral District documentation files in accession 93-101 is to be transferred in accordance with an upcoming authority with Elections Canada. These reproducible copies will then be eligible for disposal.

Custodial history:

Transferred to the Ottawa Federal Record Centre (OFRC) by Elections Canada under accession 93-101.

Location of originals note:

RG113M 1997-02144-7 has been destroyed. Original material is now located on accession 2003-01265-6 (Mikan 206952).
