Series consists of chiefly documents from the period following the fall of the Clark government and some files from early 1979. The records are filed thematically by alphabetical order, and consist of correspondence with Canadians from across the country, as well as with government officials, cabinet ministers and other MPs. They deal with issues of importance to Canadians and to Epp, both personally and as a politician representing the PC Party. These records also served as reference material to Epp and his staff; they consist, in addition to correspondence, of reports, publications, press clippings, position papers and so on, arranged by department or program. The material here reflects the Opposition's position on many government policies; as well, there are file blocks on several significant themes, such as Indians and Manitoba events.

There are a number of files entitled letters from OLO (Office of the Leader of the Opposition), which are useful in assessing the development of PC Party positions on government policies, as well as agenda books detailing Jake Epp's MP/political activity. Files on the constitution, federal-provincial relations and Indian rights are also prominent, as well as a run of Jake Epp's speeches (both in the House and outside it) which sets out his views on key political developments of this period.
