Sub-series consists of files arranged in alpha-numeric order by subject. Files contain incoming - outgoing correspondence with coversheets and attachments; speeches; briefing notes and briefing memoranda prepared by Status of Women Co-ordinator, Kay Stanley as well as McDougall's exempt staff Denise Cole and Marilyn Mirabelli; Correspondence ranges from individual women to heads of various municipal, provincial and national women's organizations offering advice, reactions, recommendations and help to assist the Minister. The files also include correspondence from McDougall to the Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, briefing him on her participation and results of national and international conferences on Women issues and how they can help the government's position and implementation of policies.
