Series consists of working manuscripts, drafts, and variant selections of Seymour Mayne's poems and works of poetry. These relate primarily to his books and chapbooks "That Monocycle the Moon" (Montreal: self-published, 1964), "Tiptoeing on the Mount" (Montreal: McGill Poetry Series, 1965; and second edition, Montreal: Catapult Books, 1965), "From the Portals of Mouseholes" (Vancouver: Very Stone House, 1966),"Manimals" (Vancouver: Very Stone House, 1969), "Mouth" (Kingston: Quarry Press, 1970), "For Stems of Light" (Vernon, BC: Very Stone House in transit, 1971; and second edition, Ottawa: Valley Editions, 1974), "Face" (Burnaby, BC: Blackfish Press, 1971), and "Name" (Erin, Ont.: Press Porcépic, 1975; and second edition, Oakville: Mosaic Press/Valley Editions, 1976).

Also included is material pertaining to his master's thesis "Touches" (a selection of his poems), the anthology "West Coast Seen" (Vancouver: Talonbooks, 1969) which included several of his poems, and his broadsides "I am still the boy", "Anewd", "Earseed", "Mutetations", and "Ticklish Ticlicorice". The manuscripts for "Touches" have comments by Dorothy Livesay, those for "Face" have comments by Irving Layton, and there is a critique of "From the Portals of Mouseholes" by Patrick Lane. In addition, the series includes reviews of Mayne's books, galley proofs, mock-ups, and illustrations mainly from the books published by his own presses.

Oversize material has been placed in volumes 14-15.
