Series consists of material relating to the little magazines and broadsides with which Seymour Mayne was associated in the 1960s. There is a complete set of "The Page", a broadside of poems by McGill University students, for 1962-63 when Mayne was the editor. In addition, there are other issues which contain his own poems and a file of submissions including poems by Robert Lakoff, Sidney Aster, Leonard Angel, and F.R. Scott.

The series also contains all three issues of "Cataract", founded and edited by Seymour Mayne with Leonard Angel, K.V. Hertz, and Henry Moscovitch, and papers relating to Mayne and Hertz's attempt to revive "Cataract" (or "Tcaratac") in 1969-70. It includes the two issues of "Catapult", published by Seymour and Harvey Mayne in 1964, with correspondence and poetry manuscripts submitted by Irving Layton, Leonard Cohen, Milton Acorn, Alden Nowlan, Ralph Gustafson, John Glassco, and others. An item of note is an autographed list of guests at the Stanley House poets' conference in 1964.

Finally, there are manuscripts submitted to Mayne in 1969 as guest editor of a selection of Vancouver poetry for "Intrepid" (No. 16), an American serial.
