Series Consists of files on a proposed anthology 1969; the League's catalogue (or directory); a proposed checklist of Canadian poetry 1970; a taping project, "11 Canadian Poets"; the series of poetry pamphlets by League members, "Lines"; the archival taping project, "Modern Canadian Poets"; the League's newsletters; the anthology, "To Say the Least"; and the textbook on poetry, "When is a Poem". The files include correspondence, texts, publicity material and other material.

Series consists of correspondence on the "New Poet's Handbook", "Lines" brochure series, "Here is a Poem" anthology and submitted samples of various poets' works. Included are Writing & Publishing reports and grant applications; questionnaire correspondence re "Poetry Markets in Canada Update," "Other Channels - An Anthology of New Canadian Poetry," promotion and publicity materials; assorted League of Canadian Poets Newsletters and submitted provincial reports; correspondence regarding the Reprography Collective, and a Canadian Regional Publishing Report.

Series also contains five photographs by Gernot Dick used to illustrate the New Poets Handbook (removed from Vol. 33, File 23) and one photograph entitled `Librarians Support Payment to Writers - PPU - Demo - Sept. 15, 1983` by Randy Haunfelder (removed from Vol. 34, File 23).
