Description:

This documentary on the Baka, inhabitants of the rainforest in Cameroon, Africa, won a 1988 Banff Television Festival award in the category of popular science. Filmmaker Phil Agland and his colleagues spent two years with the Baka Pygmies, filming and documenting their daily activities, lifestyle, habitats and relationships. Part one includes footage of the Baka collecting fruit in the rainforest and constructing temporary shelters. <30mn>

1. This film is dedicated to "The Campaign to Save the Rainforests".~2. Special thanks are given to the people of Cameroon who made this film possible.~3. No production date appeared in the credits.~4. The on-screen title indicates Rainforest as one word, but Library of Congress subject headings indicate it as two words.~5. This program appears on the videotape as four individually titles segments; however, documentation supplied by the donor treats it as a single documentary rather than a series.
