The class CAB 4, Miscellaneous Memoranda "B", consists of selections from volumes 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9 of the "B" Series. It contains papers circulated to the Committee of Imperial Defence on topics of general interest to the Commonwealth in relation to contingency planning for war. Topics include: the role of self-governing colonies, the establishment of a chain of wireless stations throughout the Empire; submarine cable communications in time of war; the Washington Conference; strategical aspect of the present location of trans-Atlantic cables in the event of war; article 10 of the Covenant of the League of Nations and amendments proposed by the Canadian government. The class is located on the following microfilm reels: B-6098 to B-6101.
