This series consists of records created by the CPC, by its various agencies, organizations and units. These records deal with matters pertaining to developments in Canada; but they also reflect intercourse between the CPC and the Comintern on general issues as well. Most of these records were originally created in Canada, and despatched to Moscow either in the course of business or as duplicate deposit and informational documents.

This series consists of the following record types: correspondence, minutes, reports, proceedings, conference materials and near-print material, circulars and appeals, membership records and financial records. The records reflect the activities of the Central Executive Committee, regional and district committees, and various specialized organs of the CEC (Educational Section, Organizational Section, Agitational and Propaganda Section, Women's Section, etc). They also reflect the interconnection between the CPC and the labour and farmers' movements in Canada, as well as the connection of the Canadian left in general with various socialist international bodies.
