The series consists of papers relating to Robert L. Seaborn's ministry as a Bishop in Newfoundland and Labrador. Included are the following: R.L. Seaborn's personal record of receipts and expenditures, 1 January 1958 - 23 March 1967, for the Bishop's Visitation Fund (file 92); his personal statistical record, 1958-1980, of visitations, confirmations, and church consecrations and dedications, during his episcopate (file 93); a copy of his son Mike Seaborn's Folklore 1000 essay, 28 May 1980, "A Bishop's Visitation Trip to the Northern Peninsular and Labrador, 1958," based on an interview with the Archbishop (file 94); the draft of "Taking Hold of Change - My Twenty-two Years as a Bishop in Newfoundland," 1980, written for the Newfoundland Churchman, together with cuttings from the September, October and December 1980 issues in which it was published (files 95-96); typescript of "A History of Portugal Cove", by Derek Smith, ca.1968-1974 (file 97).

Also included are letters, 1989, and a church bulletin, 1990, relating to a visit by Bishop and Mrs. R.L. Seaborn to the Parish of Labrador West. The file includes excerpts from his journals, relating to previous visits made to the Parish during his episcopate, which Seaborn used in preparing the addresses he gave during this visit (file 98).
