This sub-series consists of Baie-Comeau constituency office files. They span Mr. Mulroney's career as Member of Parliament for Manicouagan and then Charlevoix. This sub-series is organized into two types of subject files, departmental and various. The departmental files, which are arranged alphabetically by government department, consist of correspondence, case notes, applications for federal funding, memoranda, and reference material. The various files which are arranged alphabetically under the headings of Divers--A, Divers--B etc., include nominal files largely about individuals or organizations who requested assistance from Mr. Mulroney or his staff, files on specific events and programs affecting the constituency, and general information.

The files contain, for example, correspondence, case notes, presentations of proposed projects, information about organizations, clippings, and feasibility studies and reports on the socioeconomic development of la Côte-Nord.

This sub-series gives an indication of the range of issues important to individuals, communities and special interest groups in a semi-isolated constituency on the north shore of Quebec, as well as providing a wealth of information on the cultural, socioeconomic and political life of the communities.
