Volumes 1-6 of this sub-series contain chronologically arranged files that document the travel and tours undertaken by federal Cabinet Ministers from July 1987 to June 1992. Volumes 6-11 contain printed calendars that record ministerial tours for the period January 1992 to June 1993. Volumes 11-19 contain files related to tours and travel made by the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers. These are arranged alphabetically by subject. Volumes 20-23 are chronologically arranged files that relate to travel made by Prime Minister Mulroney from 1989 to 1992 and consist mostly of correspondence and thank you letters. Volume 24 contains 10.2 MB of Ministerial tour calendars (date, Minister, location, event), and related administrative requests (requests to attend an event, translation services, records of approvals/disapprovals, memorandum, correspondence). These records were created on personal computers by staff in the Minister's Tour Office.

The records in volumes 1-24 contain a wide variety of notes and memoranda, manuals, speech material and speeches, briefing books, reports, itineraries, invitations, pamphlets, correspondence, policy memos, requests for Ministers as speakers, and memos seeking approval for Ministers travel requests. Included in this sub-series is tour material associated with Progressive Conservative Party of Canada events, federal by-elections, federal budgets, election campaigns, the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax, visits to Canada by Queen Elizabeth II, Meech Lake, the referendum, and constituency events.
