Sub-series consists of typescripts, production scripts, treatments, manuscript notes, printed material including research material and reviews, correspondence, and other material relating to Ted Allan's writings for film. Included are files on "Love Streams", "The Pawnbroker", "Yentl", a projected film "The Incredible Mrs. Chadwick", general ideas, and other projects, including work on other scriptwriters' films. Included are scripts developed in collaboration with the American actor Anthony Quinn. Among the correspondents is John Kemeny, 1970.

Additional material includes extensive files on "Lies My Father Told Me" (including the novelization of the story by Norman Allan). There is a small amount of material on John Cassavetes' "Love Streams", and material on various unrealized projects, including an adaptation of "Them Damn Canadians Hanged Louis Riel" for Al Waxman, with correspondence from Waxman, 1972.

Further additional material includes a treatment and first draft of a screenplay for "Great Guns" by Ted Allan and Anthony Quinn; a treatment for "Madame the Clown" by Allan and Sam Shaw; a draft script for "The Pawnbroker"; and a treatment by Ted Allan for the Mr. Magoo movie "1001 Arabian Nights" (UPA Productions 1959), for which Allan shared the story credit with eight other writers. Accompanying this last treatment is a Mr. Magoo story board with illustrations by animator Richard Williams (who during the 1960s and 1970s worked on his own Arabian Nights animated film, "The Thief and the Cobbler", which was released in 1995 as "Arabian Knight"). Some of the files contain correspondence, including a letter from Gena Rowlands (The Secret of the World file) and a contract with Arthur Hiller (Spanish Moon file).
