Series consists of files relating to Freda Paltiel's civil service career and came from her office in the Department of Health and Welfare. The files are primarily "personal files" within the departmental filing classification system and contain correspondence, memoranda and reports directly relating to the various positions held by Freda Paltiel. They reflect the development of the responsibilities and classification of the Senior Advisor, Status of Women position. Included are administrative notes such as travel authority and pay increases; personal correspondence and memorandum on the duties of the position and the reporting relationships; annual reports; requests to speak; and congratualations on retirement.
