Series consists of correspondence, notes, memoranda, minutes of meetings and newsletters relating to the Godfrey family's leadership on the executive of Mount Sinai Hospital.

The hospital opened its building on University Avenue in 1953. It was founded several decades earlier by a Women's Group on Yorkville Avenue. It is now a 500 bed hospital and is affiliated with the University of Toronto Medical School. Samuel Godfrey was Vice-President in 1953. Ruth Godfrey and Judith Godfrey (wife of Sheldon) are active on the Women's Auxiliary Board.
