Series contains the papers of Leonid Biletsky (1882-1955). Biletsky was born in Ukraine and educated in Kiev. He taught at the Ukrainian University in Prague, Czechoslovakia. He immigrated to Canada after World War II and settled in Winnipeg. He became active in numerous Ukrainian educational, literary and community organizations at the local and national levels. He was also a prominent leader of the Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church of Canada. He was a specialist in Ukrainian literature and published several studies on literary themes including a four-volume study on Taras Shevchenko.
