Series consists of the following sub-series: A Voice From the Attic, notes, memorabilia; Stephen Leacock, research material; Stratford Festival, typescripts of programme notes by Davies; Saturday Night articles, book review by Davies; Toronto Star articles, bound. providing an important record of Davies' contributions for the period covered; miscellaneous articles and reviews, a wide variety of material, including handwritten public message of support for Salman Rushdie; notes on questions frequently posed to him as an author and his responses; a copy of an early essay by Davies, sent to him from England; Davies' personal brief to the Massey Commission; and a statement on the sale of the Peterborough Examiner.

Series consists of Davies' tribute to Anthony Burgess, ts. with handwritten revisions; his handwritten notes in response to Judith Skelton Grant's biography; and other material; University convocation addressesl, texts for three of Davies' addresses, two of which were to American universities; Miscellaneous addresses, a wide variety of material, including some speeches written for his wife, Brenda; compete texts of some speeches and prompt notes for others; Davies' handwritten notes for a speech to PEN in New York; the original ts. of Davies' "Why I do not intend to write an autobiography", delivered at Harbourfront's tribute to him 1989; Davies' speeches to the Pierpont Morgan Library in New York 1993 and 1995; and other material.

Series consists of CBC commentaries, Davies' response to the Paul Bernardo trial and publicity.
