Series consists of a variety of theatrical material relating to the careers of Sir John and Lady Martin-Harvey. Files include ideas for costumes, collated by the actor-manager; revised typescript and photographic proofs for a published biography on Martin-Harvey, entitled Parts I have Played; clippings on the couple's career; documentation on Martin-Harvey's film work; souvenir programmes, postcards and publicity; and announcements of Canadian tour dates. Material also includes correspondence, written to and by Robertson Davies, concerning Martin-Harvey's career and the acquisition of the manuscript material; correspondents include book-dealer Ivan Kryle Fletcher, Hector Charlesworth and Sir John Gielgud.
