The history file for the drug prices system contains data regarding non-current drug prices and the dates that they were effective. The drug prices system was established for the purpose of maintaining a record of prices related to various drugs marketed throughout the country. Data for the system were compiled through an agreement between Consumer and Corporate Affairs and drug suppliers across the country. Each time a price change was to occur the relevant supplier would forward to the Department a record of the price changes and any other changes.
