This file contains data regarding a survey which was a repeat of one conducted in 1970 to determine what changes there had been in the incidence and patterns of drug use by students in Vancouver secondary schools. Data were collected using a questionnaire which contained 127 variables most of which dealt with some aspect of drug use or knowledge of drugs and their effects on users. Approximately 20 variables were related to the socio-economic, demographic or family characteristics of the student. The questionnaire contained references to alcohol and tobacco use as well as the use of cannabis and narcotic derivatives, hallucinogens, barbiturates, amphetamines, tranquillizers, and solvents.
