Series consists primarily of correspondence between Baptist World Alliance Immigration or the North American Baptist Immigration and Colonization Society and individuals who had applied to come to Canada and were turned down, who turned to other immigration societies after their initial contact with the Baptists, or who eventually decided against emigrating. The records, with several names to each file include immigrant application forms, correspondence and other documentation created in a process in which people sought to bring their relatives to Canada or sought to use the services of Baptist immigration agencies to come to Canada.
