Series consists of files created by John F. "Lofty" MacMillan as CUPE's Director of Organizing and Servicing, consisting of correspondence, reports, and other documents and pertaining to such topics as: the organization of CUPE units; CUPE meetings; correspondence with CUPE officers, divisions and regions; other labour organizations; and administrative matters. Included are several files of organizing reports from CUPE regional offices, 1968-1979. There are two sub-series ("General Files," volumes 162 to 166, and "Subject Files," volumes 167 to 176); there is some overlap of topics, and researchers should check both sub-series.
