Series consists of material relating to the activities of UE local unions, filed according to the companies in which the locals were active. Included are signed agreements, arbitration and grievance files, financial information on the companies, materials issued to employees by the union locals and the companies, miscellaneous correspondence, files on contract negotiations, strike files, files on applications to the Ontario Labour Relations Board and other provincial bodies for certification, conciliation and other actions, submissions to the Regional War Labour Board made during the period 1942-1946, and information on wages and job classifications.

Most of the files concern Ontario companies, although a number of companies in the Montreal area are also represented.
