Series comprises diary, 25 February 1898 to 25 June 1899, typescript, correspondence consisting of letters to and from Alden Smith while he was in the Klondike, typescript, 1898-1899, letters to Smith after he had returned home; from George Anderson, another member of the Batavia Party, who remained in the North, typescript, n.d., 1903, 1905, 1912.

Series also includes miscellaneous documents including free Miners certificates, 1898-1899, a receipt for gold deposited in Seattle, 1899, a resolution passed and signed by members of the Klondike Clan expressing condolences to the family of Alden Smith upon the latter's death in 1921, a map of the Klondike district indicating the various stakes and other landmarks of the boom, drawn by C.J. Scoins in 1961, Photocopy.
