The sub-series (volume 3A of the transcripts) includes a typewritten transcript of a letter from Timothy Pickering (General Post Office, Philadelphia) to Hugh Finlay (Deputy Postmaster General, Province of Canada) on a proposed Canada/USA postal convention, 17 March 1792, with draft of proposed "regulations" for the convention, n.d., transcripts, 11 pages; photocopies, 11 pages. Also included is a memorandum entitled, "Plan for accelerating and rendering more certain the conveyance of the mail between Halifax and Fredericton", n.d., photocopies, 4 pages. Finally, there are three waybills indicating schedules and routing of a mail shipment from Halifax to Quebec, November to December 1811, photocopies, 4 pages. Available on microfilm reel C-12859.
