Series consists of Directory of Canadian museums files including correspondence and memoranda relating to the published directory (1956), as well as a copy of the directory, volume 39. The Dr. Carl Guthe of the American Association of Museums survey of Canadian museums files contain a copy of the directory published in 1958, also correspondence, memoranda, and itineraries relating to the survey, and field note files, (arranged geographically) containing correspondence, memoranda, museum pamphlets, maps and notes pertaining to the different museums he visited, 1949-1961, volumes 39-40, 58. Oversized documents are in volume 58.

Series consists of Archie Key survey files including correspondence, organizational notes, reports and itineraries, also field notes, arranged geographically, containing correspondence, memoranda and museum pamphlets, and directory files containing correspondence, notes, galleys and a copy of the published directory (1968), volumes 40-44, 58. Oversize documents are in volume 58. Salary survey files include correspondence, memoranda and questionnaires, 1967, volume 44. Museum qualifications survey include correspondence, memoranda and questionnaires with general files arranged chronologically and other files arranged alphabetically by job title, 1968-1978, volumes 44-46.
