The sub-series consists of clippings files arranged by subject. The majority of files pertain to Pearson's years as Prime Minister. The files are arranged into four major blocks. Researchers should consult all the different blocks to ensure they locate all files related to a specific subject.

The first block of files (Volumes 1-11) primarily contains clippings about Pearson and his activities. The second block (Volumes 11-104) contains P-series files. Included in this block are clippings about Pearson's speeches and files on members of the Pearson cabinet. The majority of the sub-series (Volumes 104-424) contains clippings files arranged by file number. The numbering system corresponds to the filing system used in the PMO files (series N3 and N4). Researchers should check those series for related correspondence. The final major block (Volumes 424-472) contains unnumbered subject files and nominal files. The majority of these unnumbered files date from the 1940s to 1963. A few miscellaneous clipping files are located at the end of the sub-series.
