Collection search - American Manuscripts [textual record]

Between 1914 and 1920, transcripts were made from the originals (then in the Royal Institution) of all documents of Canadian interest except those known to exist at the National Archives either in print or in a series which had been previously transcribed. Each volume of transcripts contains a list indicating which items were copied and the location of items available in print or in other series. Entries were also made in the old Second Index under nominal headings for the correspondence and petitions.
