Series consists of selections which were taken from the Seccion de Historia, tomos 65-71, Viajes y Descrubrimientos, 1785, 1789-1793. Including records of the capture of the Argonaut and the Princess Royal under captains Thomas Hudson and James Colnett by the Princesa under Captain Estéban José Martinez, and the negotiations between Juan Francisco de la Bodega y Quadra and George Vancouver. Also from the Seccion de Marina, tomo 98, San Blas Cuaderno 31, 1793-1796 including records of the return of six deserters to Vancouver.

Of particular note is a report by Joseph Ingraham on the climate, flora, fauna, and marine life of Nootka Sound and the weapons, tools, amusements and social customs of the native persons dated 1789, found in Historia, tomo 65-5, 18 pages, and including a short vocabulary. A translation of the documents was prepared and has been filed with the material.
