The "Canada, Youth and AIDS Study" measured the sexual activity of Canadian young people and their awareness of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). The press conference was called to encourage the development of educational programs and initiatives aimed at informing young people and their parents about AIDS and to emphasize the importance of preventing the spread of the AIDS virus. Appearing with Dr. Law are Dr. Alastair J. Clayton, Director-General, Federal Centre for AIDS, and Dr. Alan J.C.
