Correspondence and estate material was copied from originals held by several individuals and the Protonotary of Lunenburg. Other material relating to the early settlement of Lunenburg was copied in 1916 from originals held by the Public Archives of Nova Scotia; the records had been received by the Public Archives of Nova Scotia in 1867 from Norman Rudolf of Pictou, N.S.
