Series consists of a will of J.F.W. DesBarres, 1773, and warrant of DesBarres to David Taitt for the survey of land grants to his family, 1786. Received in 1976 from Mrs. W.B. Bate of Ottawa. Photocopies of transcripts of the wills of J.F.W. DesBarres 1818; his daughter Isabella Mathilda, 1832-1833; of Isabella wife of his son Augustus Wallet DesBarres, 1865-1868; and of James Luttrell DesBarres, 1831, as well as a deposition regarding the authenticity of Isabella DesBarres' will 1925. Copied in 1865 from originals held by W.F.C. DesBarres of Brantford, Ont.
