Volumes 8-18 contain Addresses and Replies, minutes of Proceedings, Reports and Resolutions, a few Bills, speeches and Messages, and other documents created by or submitted to the Legislative Council of Lower Canada, 1807-1837. The bulk date from 1833 and 1834.

Volumes 1-7 contain working papers of the appointive Legislative Council in Quebec, 1775-1791, which are not properly records of Parliament. No evidence has been found to indicate they were preserved by the Clerk of the Legislative Council for reference, but rather it appears they have been misplaced. Minute books of the Legislative Council are found in RG 1, E 1 and other working papers are found in RG 4, B 6. Reconstruction of the original order for these working papers and transfer to RG 1 is planned.
